Seoul shares end almost flat amid yen fear

South Korean stocks closed little changed Monday amid fear of a weakening yen that breached the 102 yen mark, analysts said. The local currency fell sharply against the U.S. dollar. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) added 3.95 points, or 0.2 percent to finish at 1,948.70. Trading volume was light at 246.1 million shares worth 2.98 trillion won (US$2.68 billion) with decliners outstripping gainers 420 to 380.
