Saudi all share index rises 3.79 percent in August

Saudi All Share Index rose 260.82 points, up 3.79%, ending at 7,139.01 points in August, compared to the previous month of July, 2012. In its monthly report, Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadwul) pointed out that the Index registered a positive increase of 11.24% (721.28 points) since the beginning of the year until the end of August, noting that the total equity market capitalization at the end of August 2012 reached SR 1,418.72 billion (US$ 378.33 billion), an increase of 3.58% over the end of the previous month. It disclosed that the total value of shares traded for the month of August 2012 reached SR 102.80 billion (US$ 27.41 billion), decreasing by 26.07% over the previous month of July.
