S&P upgrades rating of 6 Turkish financial companies

International credit rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) upgraded rating of 6 Turkish financial companies. In a statement released, S&P said they upgraded the rating of Is Bankasi, Garanti Bankasi, Garanti Finansal Kirlama, HSBC Bank, Vakifbank and Yapi Kredit to 'BB+' from 'BB'. We expect Turkish banks to continue to display a strong profit making performance, the S&P said in its statement.
