Qatar Exchange was pursued its upswing trend Sunday adding 6.06 points (or 0.07%) to advance to 8,509.70 points from 8,503.64 Thursday. The volume of the shares traded was up to 51,356,165 from 49,844,764 on Thursday and the value of shares increased to QR1,114,924,801.01 from QR1,044,586,073.25 Thursday. Among the top gainers were Doha Insurance which was up 1.43% to QR28.40, Gulf warehousing Co rose 1.95% to QR41.90, General Insurance gained 2.27% to QR45.00 and Qatar Fuel up by 2.57% to QR259.00. The Banking and Financial sector index was dropped 2.84 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added by 72.36 points. The industrial sector was gained by 11.94 points while insurance sector up 6.15 points.
