Qatar stock exchange up 0.07%

The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Tuesday adding 5.69 points (or 0.07%) to advance to 8,418.29 points from 8,412.60 Monday. The volume of the shares traded was up to 54,508,793 from 3,757,477 on Monday and the value of shares increased to QR 1,207,581,680.30 from QR 157,136,142.11 Monday. Among the top gainers were Doha Bank which was up 0.87% to QR 57.70, Comm. Bank of Qatar rose 0.56 % to QR18.00 , Al Kaleej Takaful gained 1.09% to QR 46.50 and United Dev. Company up by 0.56% to QR 18.00. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 1.58 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index lost by 21.33 points. The industrial sector was down by 4.68 points while insurance sector gained 20.51 points.
