Qatar Exchange up 0.26%

The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Monday adding 23.06 points or 0.26% to 8,764.56 points from 8,741.50 Sunday. The volume of shares traded up to 5,453,126 from 5,022,684 on Sunday and the value of shares increased to Qatari Riyal (QR) 226,489,245.48 from QR201,767,939.19 Sunday. Top gainers were International Islamic Bank which was up 1.27% to QR55.80; Al Khaleej Takaful by 3.68% to QR46.45, Gulf warehousing Co by 2.57% to QR35.90 and Islamic Insurance up by 3.65% to QR62.40. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 59.59 while the Insurance sector was up 43.22 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 14.42 points and the Services sector lost 1.60 points, according to a report of the Qatar News Agency (QNA)
