Qatar exchange slightly down 0.03%

The Qatar Exchange was slightly down on Wednesday 2.58 points or 0.03% to 8,254.10 points from the previous closing of 8,256.68. The volume of shares traded was up to 7,831,379 from 5,696,991 Tuesday, and the value of shares increased to QR175,287,991.90 from QR139,065,564.76 Tuesday. Among the top losers were Qatar Insurance whose share dropped 0.69% to QR71.50 , Qatar Telecom lost 0.75to QR105.90, Qatar Navigation fell 0.67% to QR59.70 and National Leasing down 1.95% to QR40.300. Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.53% to QR132.00, Electricity and Water rose 0.74% to QR136.00, Al khalij Commercial Bank gained 0.59% to QR17.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector lost 2.90 points while the Insurance sector down 1.74 points. The Qatar industrial sector added 0.05 points and the Services sector gained 19.34 points.
