Online , cable retailers' stocks post strong gains
Retail shares have traded mixed on the local stock markets this year, data showed Thursday, as consumers shifted to online-based shops amid the prolonged economic slowdown that dented their sentiment. Shares of Lotte Shopping Co., South Korea's No. 2 department store operator, closed at 375,000 won on Wednesday, down 0.53 percent from 377,000 won tallied at end-2012, according to the bourse operator Korea Exchange.
