Lowest inflation drop in euro area in 6 years

Euro area annual inflation was minus 0.2% in December 2014, down from 0.3% in November. This was the lowest rate recorded since September 2009, Eurostat, the EU statistical office, reported Friday.
EU annual inflation was minus 0.1% in December 2014, down from 0.3% in November. A year earlier the rate was 1.0%.
