European stocks close higher

Europe's main stock markets finished the day slightly higher Wednesday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.44 percent to 6,919.24 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained 0.98 percent to close at 11,390.38 points, and in Paris the CAC 40 rose 0.99 percent to 4,917.35 points.
