Egyptian Exchange transactions record highest rate since 2014

Transactions at the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) hit Monday their highest figure since May 2014 after they reached EGP 1.42 billion.
EGX said it paused trading on 46 securities for half an hour after they exceeded their price threshold.
Egyptians dominated 77% of the transactions, followed by foreigners 13% and Arabs 10%, it said, adding that financial institutions made up 38% of the transactions.
