Egyptian Exchange gains EGP 3.8bn, index up 1.14%

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained 3.8 billion pounds at the end of Tuesday's trading on the back of purchases by Egyptian and Arab institutions and investment funds.
The EGX 30 benchmark index leapfrogged by 1.14 percent to close at 9,946.58 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased by 1.19 percent to close at 579.63 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index upped 0.37 percent to reach 1,146.2 points.
