Egyptian Exchange gains EGP 26.7bn in January

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has made gains worth 26.7 billion pounds during January.
Stocks of the listed companies surged by 5.4 percent, posting 526.7 billion pounds compared to 500 billion pounds in December, the bourse weekly report showed.
All indices edged higher, the report said, as EGX 30 climbed by 10.27 percent to 9,843 points, while the EGX 70 rose by 1.97 percent to 577 points.
