Egypt loses 100 m pounds over insecurity

Egyptian Minister of Finance Al-Morsi Hegazi said here Wednesday his country loses around 100 million Egyptian pounds as a result of insecurity.  Speaking at a news conference following a cabinet meeting, the minister stressed the significance of ensuring security and stability in the country and arresting law-breakers.  He added that some countries like Qatar and Turkey had extended loans and grants to Egypt in order to help it overcome its current financial trouble.  Egypt has been suffering for two years from economic problems owing to dwindling touristic revenues and falling foreign investments.
