EGX gains EGP 6.5bn

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained 6.5 billion pounds at the close of trading Tuesday after Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to act to activate the EGX.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went up 2.63 percent to reach 6,097.45 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased by 3.74 percent to reach 354.41 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose by 2.32 percent to hit 711.23 points.
