UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched on Wednesday from Dubai Financial Market an initiative to transform Dubai into a global center for Islamic sukok.  According to WAM, Sheikh Mohammed stressed that the UAE is seeking, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and through projects and initiatives launched by the accomplishments achieved in various fields, to expand globally and assume first place.  He pointed to the importance of the Islamic economy nowadays, considering that Dubai's transformation into a global center for Islamic sukok, will work to establish confidence in the global financial community, stressing that positive energy is the engine for humans to remain optimistic and active.
