Dollar remains in upper ¥117 zone in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 117 yen zone early Friday in Tokyo deals.
At 9 a.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 117.88-89 yen compared with 117.34-35 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The forex market in New York was closed Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The euro fetched 1.2460-2461 dollars and 146.88-91 yen against 1.2512-2513 dollars and 146.82-86 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
