China stock index futures open higher Thursday

China's stock index futures opened higher on Thursday, with the contract for settlement in January 2015, the most actively traded, up 0.60 percent at 3,676.6.
The contract for settlement in February 2015 opened 0.63 percent higher at 3,730.4. The March 2015 contract opened 0.70 percent higher at 3,775.8. The June 2015 contract opened 0.37 percent higher at 3,796.0.
The stock-index contracts, agreements to buy or sell the Hushen 300 Index at a present value on an agreed date, are designed to allow investors to bet on and profit from either gains or declines in the market.
