Seoul shares open flat on yen concerns

South Korean stocks opened almost flat Friday as investors took a wait-and-see approach on the Japanese central bank's monetary policy meeting slated for next week, analysts said. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 2.46 points, or 0.13 percent, to 1,959.78 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
