
Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday it is recalling 6.39million vehicles worldwide over various problems related to driver's seats andelectrical systems. The recall, the automaker's second-largest recall to date, covers 27models including the RAV4 SUV and Yaris subcompact.According to the world's largest automaker, of the total, it is recalling 1.08 millionunits in Japan, 2.3 million in North America and 810,000 in Europe.The vehicles subject to the recall were manufactured between October 2004 andAugust 2013, Toyota said, adding that there have been no injuries reported relatedto the defect.Earlier in the day, Toyota filed a recall with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure,Transport and Tourism.In October 2012, Toyota recalled 7.43 million vehicles globally in its biggest everrecall.
