Manama - BNA
Technology changes in the telecommunication sector unfold at a such a rapid speed that it has become impossible to predict any changes Viva wants to bring about for the year 2015, Viva Bahrain CEO Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, told the Bahrain News Agency. He was responding to a question on the plans Viva has for Bahrain for year 2015. The year ahead looks healthy for the Viva Bahrain, he said. Asked about the Viva plans for the 4G entry when Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of Bahrain brings it on the block, the CEO said “Viva is in consultations with others in the sector on what should be their role in the new scenario. We will look at the various aspects before making a plunge,” he added. But the new technology when it is assured into the Kingdom will mean a sure splurge in speed and enhanced service to the man on the street, said Al Wetaid. Viva Bahrain for the first six months of 2012 posted a sustained growth path and it is expected that the second leg of the year would help maintain that momentum, said the CEO. He expressed his appreciation for the support the media provided the company. “The tremendous media support has helped us further reach out to our customers and communicate our brand promise of bringing innovative products and services to cater to their discerning telecom needs,” said Al Wetaid.
