
The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is preparing to take part in the HKTDC World SME Expo, taking place from Dec.6-8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). Shurooq’s participation aims to showcase the wide range of business opportunities that Sharjah has on offer for Small to Medium Enterprises, as well as the high level of support that the emirate provides to SME’s. Shurooq aims to utilise their participation in the HKTDC World SME Expo - a unique annual event, which provides thousands of visiting SMEs the opportunity to find business solutions, enhance their competitiveness, and explore business opportunities - to present the huge capabilities of the UAE and Sharjah in particular, with a focus on both the existing investment prospects in the emirate as well as the many incentives and facilities that Sharjah has to offer foreign investors in the UAE. Speaking about their upcoming involvement in the World SME Expo, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Shurooq COO, said: “Hong Kong is an extremely important economic partner for both Sharjah and the greater UAE.” Shurooq will be promoting Sharjah during the exhibition with a specially designed stand, which will highlight the Authority’s various projects as well as the diverse range of services and benefits on offer to investors and business, Sharjah Airport International Free Zone and Al Hamriyah Free Zone will be participating along with Shurooq.
