Samsung to complete Chinese chip plant in May

Samsung Electronics Co., the world's largest memory chipmaker, said Wednesday that its semiconductor plant under construction in central China will be completed by May, 20 months after the groundbreaking. The South Korean tech giant had begun the construction in September 2012, injecting a total of US$7 billion, making it the largest amount of money the company has spent on a single project in China.
