Samsung Electronics' market share tops 60% in north America

The market share of Samsung Electronics Co. for ultra high-definition (UHD) TVs has surpassed the 60-percent mark for the first time in North America, the company said Thursday.
The world's top maker of smartphones and memory chips took up 62 percent of the UHD TV market in North America as of the end of September, the South Korean tech giant said, based on the latest data compiled by global market tracker DisplaySearch.
