Sales of midsize sedans hit lowest level since 2000

Sales of midsize sedans fell to their lowest level since 2000 as South Koreans preferred to drive subcompact vehicles or sport utility vehicles, data showed Monday. Carmakers sold a total of 63,804 units of midsize sedans in the first four months of this year, accounting for 17.7 percent of the South Korean auto market during the cited period, according to the data released by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association.
