
RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) is participating in the 10th edition of the 'Petrotech 2012' Conference and Exhibition in New Delhi, India. The RasGas delegation looks forward to further expanding the company's business presence in the subcontinent and will be meeting with various existing and potential customers in India. "As the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplier to India, RasGas has a strong and long-standing relationship with the key players in the Indian market. We are keen to further strengthen and build on such relationship to meet the growing demand of our LNG customers in India," said Ali Khalaf Al Kaabi, Long-term Sales Marketing Manager who is leading the RasGas delegation. RasGas's relationship with India dates back to July 1999 when Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company (II) and Petronet LNG Limited entered into a long-term sales and purchase agreement (SPA) for the delivery of 7.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG over a 25 year period. RasGas delivers under a long-term LNG SPA which commenced in 2004. It has since delivered over 49 million tonnes of LNG under long-term and spot sales agreements to Petronet. The Petrotech Conference and Exhibition, being held from 14 to 17 October 2012, is a biennial event bringing together over 3,000 professionals from the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. RasGas is a silver sponsor for the event this year.
