Parliament approves amendments on privatization of Kuwait Airways

Financial and economic parliamentary committee at the National Assembly approved suggestions on amending laws regarding the privatization of Kuwait Airways. The committee's rapporteur MP Mohammad Al-Jabri said, after the meeting, that the committee approved amending laws on the privatization of Kuwait Airways where they would allow local and foreign companies to be part of the national airways' business strategic partner. These amendments will affect the government's golden share in the airways, preserve the rights of the national carrier's employees, and allow local and foreign companies to have a public bid on the airways' shares.
