Omantel has launched another service innovation for its customers with the introduction of bill payment and Hayyak top-up through the company's enhanced Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system using bank cards. The enhanced IVR gives customers a unique self-service option without the need to visit Omantel outlets. This innovative service is launched in partnership with the Oman Arab Bank for the first time in the region. Haitham Abdullah Al Kharusi, vice-president, Consumer Business Unit at Omantel said, "This is 'Customer 1st' initiative, a major company-wide programme with an overall objective to provide an even improved customer experience. We believe that customer satisfaction is not only gained from the quality of products and services but also by providing convenient payment options." The new service will allow paying Omantel fixed, mobile and Internet through few simple steps by calling Omantel call centre number 1234. IVR bill payment through any local and international accepted bank cards is very secured as it does not involve any human interaction throughout the whole payment process. Customer credit card details are not stored at any stage of the transaction with Omantel system which, however, is ISO certified in information security. The verification is done through the certified acquirer OAB which is PCI/DSS certified. Times Of Oman
