National water company treats 291,000 leak cases to save more than Saudi riyal 2bn

National Water Company has achieved a water saving exceeded (358) million cubic meters in the particularly targeted cities (Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah and Taif ) due to repairing of leaks experienced by the water system since 2009, until the end of 2013, with a financial saving exceeded two billion Saudi riyals.The company said that achieving these results came after the application of the best global technology of modern methods and monitoring devices to detect the unobvious leaks, including the use of beams of radar and audio devices in addition to the utilizing of helium gas to monitor leaks in the water networks for the first time in the Middle East.
