
Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) announced on Thursday it had clinched this year's Jet Energy Prize, vied for by oil companies worldwide, for the company's special program to train new engineers.
This competition takes place online based on online votes the officials of the prize, based in London, tally and accordingly announce the winner with the most acquired votes, a press statement by KOC said. In that sense, the Kuwaiti company garnered over 8000 votes, about 4000 votes more than the competitor company after it.
Winning this prize encourages KOC to take part in more international competitions involving the training of technical staff for oil companies, said head of the employee training program at KOC Eissa Al-Daihani, who received the prize for his company.
