
The Minister of Industry and Representative of the President of the Republic, Engineer Abdal-Wahab Mohamed Osman, inaugurated Monday at the Industrial Area of Bahari Tabuk Factory for Pharmaceutical Industries, a Saudi investment, at a cost of 16 million dollars, in the presence of the Wali (governor) of Khartoum State Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Khidir. The minister stressed that the opening of this plant represents a real boost to ther pharmaceutical industries in Sudan and the serves for citizens, asserting the endeavour of the state to achieve the objectives of the Tripartite Economic Program. He conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Al-Bashir to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdalla bin Abdu -Aziz. He appreciated the contributions of Saudi Arabia to the achievement of economic and industrial development in Sudan, referring to the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to achieve food security in the Arab world. The Saudi ambassador in Khartoum, Faisal bin Hamid Al-Mala, said that investment in Sudan is given s special attention and care from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing that the Saudi investments in Sudan will grow, referring to the Saudi-Sudanese Forum, which is scheduled to be held in Riyadh in the coming days. Meanwhile, the Director in Tabuk Pharmaceutical Company in Saudi Arabia, Prof. Hamad Al-Khamis, asserted that the company was built on the principle of participation in decision-making, pointing out that the establishment of this plan aims to supporting the pharmaceutical industry in Sudan. He revealed that Tabuk is present in 25 countries around the world and is exporting its production to Europe, North Africa and Asia.
