Hyundai Elevator wins $63m deal in Iraq

Hyundai Elevator Co., South Korea's No. 1 lift manufacturer, said Tuesday it secured a US$63 million contract in Iraq. The company said the deal calls for supplying 1,668 elevators for all apartment buildings of the Bismaya New City Project until 2019. The new city is located some 10 kilometers south of Baghdad and covers approximately 1,830 hectares of land. Once completed, it will have 100,000 homes and a population of 600,000.
