
Vice chairman of Al Futtaim Group Omar Al Futtaim said on Tuesday that the group will take part in Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) with a high profile delegation.
In a statement, Al Futtaim renewed UAE's support to Egypt ahead of the economic summit, underscoring positive climate for investment in Egypt.
"The conference is not a target," the statement said, adding, it is a new launching pad for economic growth in Egypt.
The Dubai-based conglomerate voiced strong willingness to expand its projects in Egypt, citing example of the Cairo Festival City with EGP 19-billion total costs.
The company began work on Cairo Festival City in 2008, building a shopping centre, two hotels, schools, clinics and residences on a three million square metre (32 million square feet) area.
