Minister of Transport Hani Dhahi
Cairo - MENA

Transport Minister Hany Dahy on Thursday paid a visit to SEMAF railway factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI).

The visit came to mark finalizing the manufacturing of first five air-conditioned train cars by SEMAF, Dahy said.

Egyptian National Railways and SEMAF have entered agreement to manufacture 212 air-conditioned railway vehicles.

During the visit, the minister inspected a purely Egyptian-made subway train.

SEMAF is one of the largest manufacturers of rolling stock in the Middle East and Africa. It focuses on the manufacture and distribution of all kinds of railroad equipment.
