du launches Absher Plan for Emiratis

In support of and in partnership with the Absher Initiative inaugurated by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, du has announced the launch of the Absher Plan, effective form Wednesday. The Absher Initiative is being closely monitored by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to ensure implementation, and du is fulfilling its duty as a national organization by supporting the President’s vision. The Plan will be the first unique plan of its kind specifically designed for Emiratis working in the private sector, giving them a range of value-added benefits in support of their contributions towards the UAE. This step comes in association with the Ministry of Presidential affairs and Ministry of Labour under the Absher initiative. du is a key partner of the Absher Initiative, and the Absher Plan represents a milestone achievement in the company’s efforts to support the UAE, its leadership, government, and the Emirati people. The step was announced during a joint press conference addressed on Wednesday by Humaid Bin Demas Suwaidi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Labour and Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du. Humaid Suwaidi, said: “The Absher Initiative, launched by the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, can play a significantly impact in encouraging UAE nationals to join the private sector. This is especially true given that His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced 2013 as the year of Emiratisation.
