MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, has received Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, Ahmad Belhoul. The meeting is part of the two organisations’ efforts to foster collaboration and exchange expertise in energy-related projects and technologies.
During the meeting, attended by Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at DEWA, Waleed Salman, Belhoul invited Al Tayer to participate in the World Future Energy Summit (WFES 2015) as a keynote speaker in the seminars and discussion forums to be held at the summit. WFES takes place during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week from 17-24 January 2015, and is expected to attract over 32,000 delegates from 170 countries. The two sides discussed the key topics and issues the summit will tackle to find solutions for energy issues.
Al Tayer thanked Belhoul, and confirmed his participation at the summit, one of the most important global platforms for addressing the challenges and future of energy. He praised the efforts and the role of the organisers, which have made it one of the leading global energy forums.
He also praised the strategic relationship between Masdar and DEWA, noting that these partnerships support DEWA’s vision to become a sustainable world class utility and enhance the UAE’s leadership in renewable energy investments. These efforts integrate with each other to deliver quality services according to the best global practices and highest standards, especially in clean energy.
Belhoul emphasised the importance of such meetings to share expertise and discuss investments, projects, new technologies and products related to energy that achieve the common good. At the end of the meeting, he thanked Al Tayer for the warn welcome and the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest.
