Albania to cut business registration time from 24 to 8 hours

Albanian Economic Development Minister Arben Ahmetaj on Friday announced new measures designed to reduce new business registration time from 24 to eight hours. "Providing online English-language service to foreign entrepreneurs will help foreign businesses in Albania," he said during a visit to the National Registration Center (NRC) in Tirana Ahmetaj added that the NRC's website would be friendly and easy to access, offering a wide range of services to customers. "For the first time e-signature system will be applied at NCR for the business," he said. Official data show a positive trend in registration of new businesses in Albania in January.
