
Abris Capital Partners plans to invest 450 million euros (346 million U.S dollars) in Poland and the surrounding region over the next three years, company partner Pawel Gierynski told journalists on Wednesday. "We are closing a fund worth 620 million U.S. dollars and this is our purchasing power for the next three years," Gierynski said at a press conference. "We want to continue investing in Poland and countries in the region. We are especially interested in sectors such as waste processing, logistics and courier services," he added. Abris also plans to sell its 55-percent stake in Alumetal, a manufacturer of aluminium casting alloys. The company's prospectus has been submitted to the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Abris Capital Partners is a private equity firm focusing on mid-market business mainly in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) countries.
