
Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Farid Mujawar discussed here on Sunday with Japanese Ambassador to Yemen Katsuyoshi Hayashi sides of cooperation in field of agricultural production.
The meeting reviewed possibilities to support the ministry's activities and trends in agriculture area in the coming phase, as well as ways to develop the two countries' bilateral relations.
Mujawar pointed out that he ministry is implementing a program of distributing about 50 solar-powered water pump to farmers in the coastal provinces, noting to the importance of the project in improving the agricultural productivity.
For his part, the Japanese envoy noted to the significance of carrying out such projects which would serve the agricultural development in Yemen and improve the living conditions of farmers, affirming his readiness to provide support and funding such projects in the coming phase.
