US unemployment rate remained unchanged in March at 5.5%

The US unemployment rate remained unchanged in March at 5.5% , a monthly report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Friday.
The US economy employed 126,000 people in March below the expectations of 245,000. The unemployment rate remained steady at 5.5% though, the lowest rate since March 2010 when unemployment was 9.9%.
US average hourly earnings increased 0.3% in March compared to the expectaion of an 0.2%. The Fed said it needs to factor in improvement in growth, inflation and jobs for it to raise rates in June.
