Ukraine unveiled an amended 2014 draft budget Thursday, forecasting 3 percent economic growth next year. According to the document, the country's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2014 will reach 206.625 billion U.S. dollars, slightly down from an estimate of 211.85 billion dollars in September. The draft budget forecast revenues of about 49.05 billion dollars and expenditure of 55.911 billion dollars. It also says the maximum allowable deficit is expected to stand at 17.7 percent of GDP, and inflation is projected to reach 4.3 percent in 2014. The draft budget needs to be ratified by parliament before coming into force.
