Agricultural Research Center
Cairo - MENA

A twinning project funded by the EU was launched Tuesday with the aim to promote agricultural research in Egypt.

The project is meant to upgrade the Agricultural Research Center (ARC).

The EU is offering 1.4 million euros to finance the project, said a delegation of the EU Commission in Cairo.

The project aims to boost the effectiveness and sustainability of agricultural research in Egypt through boosting coordination and operation skills at the ARC to be in line with EU practices.

Part of the project has to do with legal and administrative reforms, as well.
