Tabuk - Arabstoday
Business relations between Saudi Arabia and India have been growing steadily since the landmark visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to India in 2006, Abdullah Al-Bazi, chairman, Tabuk Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), said while opening a catalog show of Indian companies at the chamber's premises on Monday. The two-day event ended on Tuesday. He added that he was part of the Saudi delegation that had accompanied the king to India and witnessed India's potential in science, technology, industry, education, etc. However, he said, this potential requires to be exposed to the Kingdom through exchange of business delegations and holding exhibitions. The TCCI and the Consulate General of India, Jeddah, jointly organized the event. Shakeel Ahmad, consul (C&C), and Pawan Tripathi, vice consul (commercial), both of the Indian consulate, businessmen and senior TCCI officials were among those present. Around 80 companies' catalogues were on display covering different sectors of industry.
