
Spanish exports to Morocco posted a rise of 3.9% over the five first months of 2014, compared to the same period a year ago, totaling 2.393 billion euros, according to figures released on Wednesday by the Spanish Economy and Competitiveness Ministry.
Morocco maintains its position as top African and Arab destination for Spanish exports, said the ministry in a statement on the Jan.-May trade results of Spain, noting that the Moroccan market received 2.4% of overall Spanish exports.
In May, Spanish sales to Morocco witnessed an increase of 3.7% to reach 519.1 million euros.
Spain’s exports to the Kingdom reached last year over 5.5 billion euros, that is an increase of 4% versus the year 2012.
