
Spain's car sales rose by 6.9 percent in the first quarter of this year, according to data released on Friday by the sector.
The figures were released by the Association of Car Manufacturers (ANFAC), the Federation of Association of Dealers of the Automotive Sector (FACONAUTO) and the Association of Car Dealers (GANVAM).
Car sales reached 285,495 in the first three months of 2016 which, according to the sector, meant the best quarter since 2010 and allowed the sector to predict 1.1 million purchases for 2016.
The associations reported that in March car sales reached 111,512 purchases which meant a 0.7 percent fall when compared with March 2015.
