Sales of SUVs rise on leisure demand in September

Sales of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) rose for the third consecutive month in September in South Korea on increased leisure demand and growing popularity of large-sized cars, industry sources said Sunday.
According to auto industry sources, the number of SUVs sold last month in the country accounted for 29.2 percent of 94,834 cars that five auto makers including Hyundai Motor Co. sold in the month. The number does not include the sales of commercial vehicles.
