Lisbon - XINHUA

The world's first red gin, produced by a company in Valenca, around 425 km north of capital Lisbon, was distributed in the local market on Tuesday, local media reported.
Out of 5,000 bottles, 600 will be sent to the Angolan market, the exporting producer told Portuguese Lusa News Agency.
Joao Guterres, 63, the producer, said the first 5,000 liters produced have all been sold at 29.80 euros (32.01 U.S. dollars) a bottle and that he hopes to sell 15,000 bottles this year.
Guterres, who has been in the sector for 50 years, says the idea to produce red gin arose a year and a half ago.
The new gin has 14 ingredients, including dill, laurel, elder flower and water mint.
"It is a very peculiar gin and much more fruity. It's a gin which even people who don't normally like gin fall in love with," he added.
Guterres will present his "Tinto Gin Premium" in Valenca on April 23.
