Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah Thursday discussed with Assistant Administrator for the Middle East Office of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Paige Alexander and her accompanying delegation ways of boosting support for development projects in Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip.
During the gathering, attended by US Consul General Michael Ratney, Hamdallah exhorted the USAID to direct its support to the projects of housing, health and education in the Gaza Strip.
Also, the Palestinian premier briefed the US delegation on the repercussions of the recent punitive measures taken by the Israeli authorities against the Palestinian people, including freezing the transfer of Palestinian tax revenues.
Hamdallah urged the USAID to increase its financial support for Palestine, praising the ongoing US support to the Palestinian authority.
