
The Sultanate of Oman will host on Tuesday the two-day meeting of Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) Board of Director which will be followed by the general assembly meeting which will be attended by the Arab Ministers of Communication, undersecretaries of communication and heads of the Arab delegations taking part in the meeting.
CEO of Arabsat Eng. Khalid Balkhyour said that a number of important issues will be discussed at Muscat meeting including presenting the annual report, electing new board members and approving the final statements for 2016.
The board of directors of Arabsat includes nine states namely the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, Libya, Sudan, Algeria and Djibouti.The organization is completing the final touches to launch the first G6 satellite for Arabsat mid this year, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
