
Malaysia's East Coast Economic Region (ECER) has attracted 3.57 billion ringgit (about 1.18 billion U.S. dollars) investment in the fourth quarter of 2014, according to Malaysia’s Oriental Daily News.
The ECER Development Council said the 3.57 billion ringgit investment is from 16 companies, including eight local companies. It contributes to the cumulative investment of the region totaling 72.26 billion ringgit (about 23.2 billion U.S. dollars).
ECER, established in 2007, is an economic development corridor based on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia that covers four states.
